TED LAPIDUS

Famously called the “poet of haute couture”, Parisian fashion designer Ted Lapidus is known for being an early pioneer of genderless dressing and making blue jeans a mainstream fashion staple. Upon his death, the French president praised Ted Lapidus for democratising French elegance and classicism and making fashion accessible to men and women in the street. His celebrity patrons included Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon, Françoise Hardy, Twiggy and John Lennon.
